Course information

The CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care qualification prepares students for a rewarding career in early childhood education. This entry-level qualification equips individuals with the skills to support the development and learning of children in various early childhood settings.

Graduates of this course will be able to assist in delivering quality care and education programs to children, working under the supervision of qualified educators. Roles may include supporting children’s emotional, social, and physical development, providing day-to-day care, and assisting with educational activities in childcare centres, preschools, or home-based settings. Entry Requirements
  • Completion of grades 10-12 or equivalent
  • Demonstrate a satisfactory level of Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) abilities
  • Students must be at least 18 years old at the time of commencement of the course
  • Must be able to obtain a federal police check
  • Students require a mandatory influenza vaccine and may also need a COVID-19 vaccine to begin work placement.
  • In order to undertake placement, students must obtain a State/territory working with children check
  • In order to undertake placement, students must obtain a Through Their Eyes Certification (SA only)
