We’re excited to announce that our nationally recognised CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing or Disability) has been approved for QLD’s JobTrainer funding. If you’re eligible, you can complete this course fee free. The funding has been provided by the Queensland Government to encourage people to join the massive and growing Health Care workforce, where qualified workers are in high demand.
Sounds great, but am I eligible for JobTrainer?
According to the JobTrainer Fund Information webpage:
‘To be eligible to enrol in a training place funded under JobTrainer, prospective students must:
- permanently reside in Queensland, and
- be an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident (includes humanitarian entrant), temporary resident with the necessary visa and work permits on the pathway to permanent residency, or a New Zealand citizen, and
- have finished school or no longer be at school (including homeschooled), and
- not already be enrolled in training (includes VET and higher education courses), and
- not have previously completed a qualification funded under the JobTrainer Fund, and
- either be a job seeker or a school leaver or young person.
A job seeker means an individual aged 15 years or older who is:
- out of work, or
- in receipt of income support payments.
A school leaver or young person means an individual who is aged 17 to 24 years, regardless of employment status.’
I’m not eligible for JobTrainer. Are there other funding options?
Yes, we have other funding options available. The Queensland Government is still able to fund your training, such as through the Certificate 3 Guarantee program, which will only require you to pay a co-contribution fee of $27. What’s a CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support? Where can I work with it?
The CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support is among our most popular courses. It’s an entry level qualification to gain employment in the support services. It’s divided into two electives, Ageing or Disability, depending on where you’d like to specialise. You’ll be equipped with the relevant knowledge and skills to provide exceptional, person-centred support. Our qualification is nationally recognised, so you’ll be qualified to work around Australia. Students who successfully complete this course can work in roles across the support services, including:
- Support worker
- Nursing Assistant
- Community Care Worker
- Residential Care Worker
- Family Support Worker
Additionally, you can use this course to springboard into higher-level qualifications, from a CHC43315 Certificate IV in Mental Health to a CHC53415 Diploma of Leisure and Health.
