CHC43415 – Certificate IV in Leisure and Health

About the Course
The Certificate IV in Leisure and Health has been designed specifically for students who are wishing to gain employment in the Support Services, providing support to individuals by the design, implementation and evaluation of leisure, health activities and programs for clients in various Support services sectors.
Holders of the training product may work in residential facilities and/or in community agencies and days centres, in which they complete specialised tasks and functions in relation to the leisure and health of clients. Workers in this area are responsible for their own work as required by organisational requirements, however, work is carried out under direct or indirect supervisions within the defined job role within the organisation.
Reasons for Studying?
- Entry level community service course
- According to the Australian Government’s Job Outlook service, the number of people working in community and welfare support is expected to grow strongly over the next five years. This is a large occupation with strong job prospects with around 30,000 job openings anticipated over the next five years.
- Blended delivery course which mean you can work whilst timing the occasional day to attend the workshops.
Delivery Methods:
The overall expected duration of this course is 31 weeks plus 120 hours of work-placement completed. This course is delivered with a blended model which means students will primarily be studying at home with workbooks however throughout the course their will be occasional workshops that must be attended to complete the course. The workshop date depends on the state you are studying in.
Entry Requirements:
National Program,
Student’s pathway may include but not necessary include;
- Completion of grade 12 or 10 or equivalent
- Completion of previous courses unrelated to the training product
- Completion of related courses such as;
- Certificate III in Individual Support
- Certificate III in Active Volunteering
- Certificate III in Community Services
- Demonstrate a satisfactory level of Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) abilities.
