HLT51607 DIPLOMA OF NURSING (Enrolled/Division 2 Nursing)

 

This qualification is your pathway into professional nursing. Fully recognised Australia wide, and by the Nurses Board of South Australia, the Diploma of Nursing offers flexible learning combined with training by highly experienced clinicians and trainers. With a strong focus on developing and nurturing knowledge, skills and attitudes towards excellent nursing practice, this program seeks to create a balanced approach to learning within an adult and accelerated learning environment. Successful completion of this course is one of the criteria for enrolment with the Nurses Board of South Australia.

The Diploma of Nursing will prepare you to work as an Enrolled Nurse in a wide range of sectors which may include acute medical/surgical nursing and aged care and rehabilitation nursing.

This course is delivered over a 52 week period and commences on Monday 14th January 2008 with compulsory classroom attendance on Monday and Tuesday each week between 9 am and 4 pm. Clinical placement will consist of 2 x 6 week full time blocks (5 days per week). Variations may be negotiated provided that the placement criteria requirements are met in full.

Once you have been accepted, you will be required to provide a National Police Certificate (dated within the last 24 months) and evidence that you have been immunised against Hepatitis B. Evidence may also be required that a satisfactory standard of written, oral and English comprehension has been achieved to satisfy the requirements of the Nurses Board of South Australia.
