Course information

This qualification is a representation of the responsibilities of support workers who undertake specialised tasks and functions in aged services. These tasks can be carried out in various settings, including residential facilities, homes, or within the community.

Support workers in this role assume responsibility for their assigned tasks while adhering to organisation guidelines. They ensure the delivery of high-quality services by creating, facilitating, and reviewing individualized service plans.

Additionally, these workers may demonstrate leadership skills and have a limited level of responsibility for overseeing the work of others, all within established parameters.

To obtain this qualification, candidates are required to complete a minimum of 120 hours of practical work experience, as specified in the Assessment Requirements of the units of competency.

Entry requirements

The entry requirements for this course are achieving competency in the LLN.

In order to commence placements students will have to obtain 120 point police check.
