CHC20108 Certificate II in Community Services

This is an entry level qualification for persons considering work in Health and Community services. many of the units can be used as credit towards a Certificate III qualification.

Potential participants in this course are both new entrants to the industry who require a broad and comprehensive grounding in the skills required to perform effectively in the industry as well as persons who are currently working in the industry who have not had the opportunity to gain the expected qualification.

 

This may include:

  • School leavers

  • Unemployed workers

  • Those wishing to gain entry to a different industry sector

  • Persons returning to the workforce following prolonged absence

  • Unqualified workers within the industry sector

 

11 units must be selected for this qualification including:

- 5 compulsory units

- 6 elective units

CHCCS211A Prepare for work in the community sector

CHCCOM201C Communicate with people accessing the services of the organisation

CHCORG201A Follow policies, procedures and programs of the organisation

CHCORG202C Work with others

 

AND one only of the following units:

 

HLTOHS200A Participate in OHS processes

CHCOHS312A Follow safety procedures for direct care work

 

 

Students must demonstrate competency in 6 of the following electives
