This course is delivered over an eight
week period with courses held every 5 weeks throughout
the year. The course cost includes First Aid and
Manual Handling. RPL/RCC may be available to appropriate
candidates.

Comply with the information requirements of the
aged care and community sectors

general cleaning tasks in a clinical setting

support to an older person
• (CHCAC4B) Assist
in the provision of an appropriate environment
• (CHCAC17A)
Support the older person to maintain their independence
• (CHCAC2C) Provide
personal care

Prepare and maintain beds
• (CHCAC6C) Support
the older person to meet their emotional and
psychosocial needs
• (CHCAC15A)
Provide care support which is responsive to the
specific
nature of dementia
The course comprises five weeks spent in
the classroom, Monday to Friday, from 9 am. to 3.30
pm. and three weeks on a work experience placement
(90 hours).
After the work experience placement all
students will be required to return to the classroom
for a de-briefing session .
All these units of competency are nationally
accredited which means that the qualification you
gain is recognised in every state in Australia.
You will be able to build on this qualification
to achieve a higher level of knowledge and skills
to gain entry into other national accredited courses
if you wish.
On successful completion of Certificate III in Community
Services (Aged Care) there may be the opportunity
of employment with our sister company, Celtic Aged
Care, for suitable applicants.
